If the Superleague Formula arrived in France this weekend, delighting the French drivers, this ephemeral domiciliation does not seem favorable to them. It was the Briton Craig Dolby (Tottenham) who took pole position, beating Yelmer Buurman (AC Milan) in the final. Dolby, in the quarter-finals, eliminated Sébastien Bourdais (Olympique Lyonnais), the only French driver who managed to enter the qualifying tournament. He could have been joined by Julien Jousse (AS Roma) but the best time achieved in the group stage by the 2008 Formula vice-champion Renault 3.5 Series was canceled, for improvement under yellow flag. Sébastien Bourdais also suffered from such a sanction but was still able to climb among the four best in his group. Julien Jousse having only completed one lap, his only time was erased.
