Venturi once again confirms their domination of the Berlin ePrix. For the second free practice session of the day, this time it was Lucas Di Grassi (Venturi) who beat his teammate Edoardo Mortara (Venturi) to the finish line. The Brazilian, forced to abandon the race, set the best time in 1'1″06. The Swiss finished 133″0 behind the leader and it was Oliver Rowland (Mahindra), best time in the first test session on Saturday, who completed the podium 153″0 behind Lucas Di Grassi.
Behind the leading trio, 8 drivers are within the same tenth of a second. Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes), leader in the championship, finished at the head of this peloton in 4th place. The Belgian once again dominates his teammate Nyck this weekend De Vries (Mercedes), author of the 14th fastest time, far from the expectations that one might have for a reigning champion. Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah) sets the 7th fastest time of the session. The disappointment of this second test session was on Jaguar's side, only 19th and 21st with Mitch Evans, 3rd in the championship and Sam Bird.
