VIDEO – Colapinto’s overtake for victory at Imola
Engaged in F3 for the 2022 season, Franco Colapinto won his first race in the category this Saturday during the Sprint Race in Imola. Started from pole position and long 2e behind Caio Collet (MP Motorsport), the VAR driver managed to gain the upper hand over his opponent at the start of the last lap.
Coming out of the last corner very well, Franco Colapinto was able to use the aspiration and his DRS to get rid of Caio Collet who was unable to do anything. In turn, the last city ended its race in the gravel trap after catching Isack Hadjar (Hitech GP) while trying to defend its 2e place. Result ? Abandonment for the Brazilian and a 5e position for the Frenchman who was able to limit the damage despite the clash with his counterpart.
