Villagómez moves to VAR in 2022
Announcement day in F3 decidedly. After Roman Stanek at Trident or even Francesco Pizzi at Charouz, it is Rafael Villagómez who has been confirmed for this new Formula 3 season. Already present on the grid in 2021 with HWA RACELAB, the Mexican wanted to continue the adventure in F3.
In 2022, Rafael Villagómez will not represent HWA RACELAB but Van Amersfoort Racing on the track. “ Last year was a learning year for me, and I knew it would be, specifies the native of León. The move from F4 to F3 was a big step forward but I made the most of every moment. I now feel ready to fight at a higher level and aim for points and the podium."
Rafael Villagómez is the 2nd driver confirmed by VAR for the 2022 season. The Mexican joins Reece Ushijima, announced on January 27.
