Cardabelles-ES9: Bonnefis off to a good start

By winning the penultimate special of the Rally Land of the Cardabelles, Germain Bonnefis (Peugeot 207 S2000) is well on his way to victory. The leader of the event takes 7”5 from Paul Chieusse (307 WRC) and 11”6 to Emmanuel Gascou (207 S2000), his closest rival this weekend. Behind Thomas Privé, fastest in the Citroën Racing Trophy with 17 seconds behind, Stéphane Consani follows at 21”8 with more than four seconds ahead of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX of Gilles Ségales.

Germain Bonnefis is one stage away from victory and now has a 19-second lead over Emmanuel Gascou. Paul Chieusse still completes the provisional podium ahead of Stéphane Consani and Gilles Ségales. Thomas Privé moved up to sixth place, nine seconds ahead of the Lancer Evo X of Thierry Brun. Vincent Dubert (DS3 R3) is eighth ahead of Jean-Sébastien Vigion and Jérôme Jacquot (DS3 R3).
