Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) sees its weekend in Spain become seriously complicated. Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) a terminé à près de 3 secondes en devançant ses compatriotes Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) et Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) a échoué à 8 secondes en précédant Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) and Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota).
Thierry Neuville takes control of the event with a 4 tenths lead over Dani Sordo. Kris Meeke completes the provisional podium with 8 tenths ahead of Ott Tänak. Esapekka Lappi climbs to 5th place ahead of the Fords of Teemu Suninen and Elfyn Evans. Jari-Matti Latvala finds himself 8th ahead of Sébastien Loeb and Takamoto Katsuta. Sébastien Ogier fell to 11th place, 12 seconds behind the Japanese.
