The 3rd special of the day, that of Goutrens the longest of the day, saw the Lozérien Eric Rousset, Citroën C4 WRC, take control of the event, at the expense of the title holder Jean-Michel Da Cunha, Citroën C3 R5/Rally 2, who had achieved the first 2 scratches.
Da Cunha regained a few seconds in SS4 and SS5 but let go again in the 2nd pass of Goutrens. For less than 5 seconds, he left the victory of the first day to the C1 driver. Behind, Florian Condamines, VW Polo GTI R4/Rally 5, remotely refereed the duel of the leaders while Vincent Leduc hoisted his Alpine A110 in 1st place in GT and 4th overall. The top 5 being completed by Jérémy Turco, Skoda Fabia R5/Rally 2.
