3 specials and 3 scratches for Nicolas Ciamin and Yannick Roche who had a perfect start to the event. We once again find Hugo Margaillan and William Wagner behind the leader.
MARGAILLAN: “We improvise a lot, it’s still very tricky. We put in the commitment and I think we had the right tires (super soft)”
Léo Rossel was able to get back on the road after his fire started at the end of SS2. A scare that he would have done well without, but a recovery of pace which proves the strong mentality of the young hopeful Stellantis.
ROSSEL: “It was hard to breathe after the fire started. I'm not yet familiar with the handbrake. The grip is not easy, I would like to correct my small mistakes for the future »
Another handful of seconds lost for Yoann Bonato who must be eager to join the assistance at the end of the first loop to make some adjustments!
BONATO: “This one was a little better though. There were a few braking moments, it wasn't easy. The conditions helped me. »
Little confidence for Éric Camilli, but ultimately a good 6th place after these first three specials.
CAMILLI: “I thought it was going better but I’m not very comfortable”
Denis Millet, the Michelin winner Rally Tour 2022, made a good start to the rally and is on the edge of the Top 10.
MILLET: “It’s now 100% dry. You have to manage to get into it”
Start of SS4 at 12:52 a.m.
