Victim of going off the road shortly after the start, Thierry Neuville lost all hope of a Top 10 in Sardinia where he hoped to grab a few small points after a complicated start to the rally.

Sardinia – SS12: Neuville at fault

Ce Rally of Sardinia is definitely not that of Thierry Neuville. Déjà à plus de 2 minutes après la journée de vendredi où il a connu des soucis de transmission, le Belge est cette fois-ci parti en tonneaux. Le pilote Hyundai a terminé sa course sur la bas-côté après 2,5 km dans l’ES12. Il a eu beau repartir mais il s’est finalement arrêté quelques kilomètres plus après avoir roulé au ralenti pendant quelques minutes. Son samedi est d’ores et déjà terminé ainsi que ses espoirs d’un Top 10.

Regarding the general, Ott Tänak (Hyundai) remains in the lead. The Estonian finished 2nd in SS12 won by Craig Breen (M-Sport). Rien de bien bouleversant pour le classement puisque le champion du monde conserve une belle avance sur l’Irlandais avec 29″8 d’écart entre les deux hommes.
