The activity WRC of Michelin Motorsport has seen a change at its head since the end of Rally from Argentina. Jacques Morelli, responsible for the Clermont-based manufacturer's involvement in rallying since 2011, will retire and give way to Arnaud Rémy, who worked in GT and customer rally competition at Michelin.

Jacques Morelli spent more than forty years within the French entity, since his beginnings as a warehouseman in 1978, before moving on to motorcycles, then to the car division in 2003 with the development of the Circuit Customer Competition activity. and rally with the IRC / ERC.

“I obviously have too many good memories to recount them all, but I keep very strong emotions from my years in motorcycles, just like the creation of the IRC championship which, thanks to its broadcast on Eurosport, will lead us to rallies like the Monte Carlo, admits Jacques Morelli.

I think this event not only caused a reaction in the WRC world and our return to the highest level in the world. After four decades at Michelin, I know that life will be different now, so I wish my successor to take as much pleasure in managing this exciting activity. »
