Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) décroche sa première victoire au Rally of Sweden by winning in front Craig Breen (Citroën) et Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai). Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) a arraché la quatrième position avec un peu plus de huit secondes d’avance sur Hayden Paddon (Hyundai). Mads Ostberg (Citroën) suit au sixième rang devant Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Ott Tänak (Toyota).
Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) should complete the top ten, his teammate Sébastien Ogier having started several tens of minutes late, probably to benefit from better conditions even if it meant taking a significant penalty. The five-time champion WRC set the second fastest time in the Torsby Power Stage, 1”3 behind Esapekka Lappi. Andreas Mikkelsen set the third fastest time ahead of Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak.
