Ott Tänak (Toyota) and Craig Breen (Citroën) followed around three seconds ahead of the Hyundai drivers Thierry Neuville and Hayden Paddon. Mads Ostberg (Citroën) finished eight seconds ahead Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) and Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). Toyota drivers Jari-Matti Latvala and Esapekka Lappi were the slowest, but the latter must adopt a cautious pace after detecting a slow puncture at the end of SS2.

Andreas Mikkelsen now has a 15”5 lead over Thierry Neuville. Ott Tänak finds himself in third place, one tenth behind the Belgian. Teemu Suninen moved up to fourth while Mads Ostberg dropped to fifth. The Norwegian is now ahead of Sébastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala. Hayden Paddon moved up to eighth position ahead of Craig Breen and Esapekka Lappi.
