Sardinia – SS5: Ogier breaks his suspension

Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) dismounted at Rally from Sardinia. The championship leader broke his left front suspension in the first meters of the SS5 course when he hit a stone in a bend raised by an embankment. The six-time world champion pulled over to the side to try to repair things.

It was Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) who signed the scratch in the 10,99km of Monte Baranta completed in 8'17''4 with more than 2 seconds ahead of Ott Tänak (Toyota), Dani Sordo (Hyundai) and Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) suit à plus de 3 secondes devant les Hyundai de Andreas Mikkelsen et Thierry Neuville. Kris Meeke (Toyota) is 8 seconds behind and ahead of Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Juho Hänninen (Toyota).

 

 

Jari-Matti Latvala remains in the lead of the Sardinia Rally at the break with less than 3 seconds ahead of Ott Tänak. Dani Sordo completes the new provisional podium by being 7 tenths behind the Estonian. Elfyn Evans is ahead of Teemu Suninen who slips to 5th place. Thierry Neuville remains 6th ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen who took the advantage over Kris Meeke. Esapekka Lappi finds himself 9th by taking over Juho Hänninen.
