Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) dropped 7 seconds on Lappi. The Norwegian left the road briefly, hitting a wall of snow. Kris Meeke (Toyota) was one of the slowest, 20 seconds behind the scratch.

Ott Tänak now has almost 52 seconds ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen who retains second place for 7 seconds ahead of Esapekka Lappi. Thierry Neuville overtakes Elfyn Evans for more than 7 seconds ahead, coming back to 3 seconds behind the Citroën driver. Kris Meeke remains 6th but has less than 7 seconds ahead of Sébastien Loeb who has returned to 7th position for 2 seconds ahead of Teemu Suninen. Pontus Tidemand (M-Sport) remains 9th ahead of Ole Christian Veiby (Volkswagen), still leading the WRC 2, which precedes Jari Huttunen (Skoda) and Mads Ostberg (Citroën).

Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen) lost more than 2 minutes in the previous special and finds himself in 6th position in the category.
