Peter Van Merksteijn Jr, who was due to start the World Rally Championship at the Rally from Sweden, had to make concessions. The Dutchman has indeed agreed to give up his place to Petter Solberg, who will have one of the four Citroën DS3s WRC available. Van Merksteijn, for his part, announces that he will make his debut during the third round of the WRC, in Portugal (March 3-24). The missed trip to Sweden will be replaced by Argentina. “After our very good discussions with Citroën Racing, we decided to give Petter the opportunity to drive in Sweden,” explained Gerard. Whole grained, team manager of Van Merksteijn Motorsport. We will go to Argentina instead of Sweden,” in order to maintain a ten-race schedule for the driver.
