Ott Tänak (Toyota) a encore porté un coup rude à ses adversaires en s’offrant son 5e scratch du jour au Wales Rally GB. Le leader de l’épreuve a bouclé les 29,13km de Brenig en 16’30’’5 avec 6 seconde d’avance sur Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) et 7’’2 sur Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport). Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) a suivi à 8 secondes. Derrière, l’écart est plus important avec Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) à 16s, le Finlandais ayant été victime d’une brève sortie endommageant son pare-brise. Craig Breen (Citroën) was at the same pace and ranked ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai), Mads Ostberg (Citroën), Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Hayden Paddon (Hyundai).
Ott Tänak now has a lead of more than 31 seconds over Thierry Neuville who took 2nd place for just over a second ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala. Esapekka Lappi follows 3s ahead of Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) who is ahead of Craig Breen. Teemu Suninen lost 4 positions and found himself 7th ahead of Mads Ostberg, Hayden Paddon and Andreas Mikkelsen.
