After Nikolay Gryazin withdrew, it was clear that the fight would be between local drivers. If the Pole Mikolaj Marczyk created an illusion in SS1, a duel began between Teemu Suninen (i20) and Emil Lindholm (Fabia). Managing to keep up with their pace, Mikko Heikkilä ended up leaving with his Skoda (SS12).

After losing a ready victory by going off the road in Portugal, Teemu Suninen was this time out of the race, leaving the trophy to Lindholm. With the top six in the championship absent, the Finn performed well by moving up to 3rd place. In Jyväskylä, the podium was completed by Egon Kaur and Hayden Paddon.
