Mercedes secures a new Manufacturers' title today! This is their sixth consecutive coronation since 2014 and the debut of the V6 turbo hybrid.
Both Renaults finished in the points, with Daniel Ricciardo seventh and Nico Hülkenberg ninth!
Victory for Valtteri Bottas at Suzuka! Sebastian Vettel resists Lewis Hamilton to finish second!
T53 – Last lap!
T13 – Sergio Pérez goes off the track in the S! The Mexican was in the points, bad luck for Racing Point!
T52 – Sebastian Vettel is asked to use a more efficient engine mapping mode to secure second place.
T51 – Only three rounds left! Lewis Hamilton fails to find an opening on Sebastian Vettel.
T47 – And a third pit-stop for Charles Leclerc! His objective is to set the lap record in order to scratch a small point.
T47 – Contact is made between the Ferrari and the Mercedes. This will be able to use its DRS.
T46 – Lewis Hamilton comes back with long strides on Sebastian Vettel. The gap is barely 1″!
T45 – Daniel Ricciardo passes Nico Hülkenberg then Lance Stroll in the same lap! The Renault is eighth.
T43 – Lewis Hamilton finally goes to the pits! The Briton puts on soft tires and starts second, behind his teammate but ahead of Sebastian Vettel.
T41 – After his incident with Alexander Albon, Lando Norris is launched into a frantic race to get back into the points. The McLaren is 12th.
T40 – Alexander Albon has a five-second lead over Carlos Sainz Jr in fourth place. Charles Leclerc is sixth, and has left Pierre Gasly (14″).
T39 – 15 rounds left. Sebastian Vettel sets a new best lap in 1'32″122. The Ferrari is third with a delay of 7″7 on Valtteri Bottas. Lewis Hamilton is in the lead thanks to his one-stop strategy, with a 9″ lead.
T38 – Pierre Gasly (7th), Lance Stroll (8th) and Nico Hülkenberg (9th) are within three seconds. The fight is on.
T35.- And one more! Charles Leclerc passes Pierre Gasly and finds himself sixth. Alexander Albon observed a second pit stop.
T34 – Charles Leclerc doubles Lance Stroll; here he is seventh, on the heels of Pierre Gasly.
T33 – Charles Leclers defeated Sergio Pérez then Nico Hülkenberg. The Ferrari is eighth.
