Sebastian Vettel places his Ferrari SF16-H in fourth position ahead of Fernando Alonso (McLare), Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso), but an investigation will take place after the double world champion overtakes.
Massa (Williams) finished 7th ahead of Pérez (Force India), Button (McLaren) and Grosjean (Haas) who saved a point for his home team.
The McLaren driver finally passes his compatriot before braking on the straight and, despite delicate braking, maintains his position.
Last lap for Hamilton in Austin. Alonso cannot overtake Sainz despite several attempts.

Behind the leading quartet, Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso) and Felipe Massa (Williams) are fighting for fifth place.
Räikkönen lets his car slide towards the pit lane but has to retire.
Kimi Räikkönen stops at the exit of the pit lane! A wheel is poorly fixed according to Ferrari. Disappointment for the Finn.
