Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) is the first leader of the Rallye des 10000 Virages after having signed the scratch by completing the 17,6km in 10'20''6 with 3 seconds ahead of the Hyundais of Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo and on Ott Tänak's Toyota. Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) followed almost 5 seconds back just ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Esapekka Lappi (Citroën).
Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) was behind with a dozen seconds behind after spinning.
