Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) scored his 6th scratch of the day at Rally Finland by winning the 10km Lankamaa SS21,68, completing the course in 10'21''4 with a 7 tenths lead over Teemu Suninen ( Ford). Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed at 1”4 and Juho Hänninen (Toyota) at 2”8, completing a Finnish quadruple. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) set the 8th time, 12”5 behind the benchmark. Kris Meeke (Citroën) and Mads Ostberg (Ford) finished around 20s behind due to mechanical problems.

Esapekka Lappi has taken the lead at Rally Finland where local drivers dominate the WRC field. The Toyota driver has a lead of 3 tenths over his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala. Teemu Suninen remains in 3rd place, 14 seconds behind the Toyota drivers, ahead of Juho Hänninen by around ten seconds who took 4th place with almost 3 seconds ahead of Craig Breen (Citroën). Elfyn Evans (Ford) gained two places, now occupying 6th place ahead of Mads Ostberg and Kris Meeke (Citroën) who, conversely, lost two places. The Northern Irishman only has a lead of 8 tenths over Thierry Neuville.
