Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport Ford) set the best time in the 14th special of the Rally Italy – Sardinia, over the 14,95 km of Coiluna – Loelle 2. The Frenchman especially took advantage of this to regain a little margin on Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), victim of a puncture at the very end of the race, and who concedes 3″9 on the world champion.
In the general classification, Ogier now has a 6″8 lead over Neuville. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), 6th time in SS14, sees Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) come back to 4″5 in the fight for the last step of the podium.
Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) remains fifth, almost 30″ behind Lappi, and 5″5 ahead of Mads Ostberg (Citroën). Craig Breen (Citroën) follows in the standings ahead of Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia R5), still leader in WRC2, and Martin Prokop (Ford Fiesta WRC).
Ott Tänak (Toyota) moved up to 10th overall ahead of Nicolas Ciamin (Hyundai i20 R5), still second in WRC2.

Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) took the third provisional time in 7'44″7, 1″9 behind Ogier.
