The provisional classification after SS14:
Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) took the scratch in the 14,9km of Pihlajakoski with a time of 6'53''9. The Finn took 3”8 from his teammate Esapekka Lappi who completed the quadruple of local drivers behind Juho Hänninen (Toyota) and Teemu Suninen (Ford). Craig Breen (Citroën) finished 8s behind the benchmark after missing a turn. Mads Ostberg (Ford) lost more than a second to Elfyn Evans (Ford).
Esapekka Lappi only maintains a lead of 6 tenths over Jari-Matti Latvala. Teemu Suninen still completes the provisional podium ahead of Craig Breen who only has a 6 tenths lead over Juho Hänninen. Elfyn Evans climbed to 6th place with 1”2 ahead of Mads Ostberg. Thierry Neuville remains 8th.
Lapi drops 3″8 to Latvala and only maintains a lead of 6 tenths over his teammate in the general classification. “Jari-Matti did a very good special. I was a little too careful at the beginning but I pushed a little more towards the end. »
Latvala improves the provisional scratch with a time of 6'53″9, 2″7 ahead of his teammate Hänninen. “I have to do my best. I am here to fight even if it is not easy. I was a little too aggressive at the start but more careful towards the middle. »
Suninen is closest to Hänninen with half a second behind. The Toyota driver remains well established in 3rd place. “The special was very beautiful. I could have attacked a little more. »
Breen drops 5″5 to Hänninen and only retains his 4th place for a lead of 6 tenths over the Toyota driver. “The car behaves very well, it’s better than the day before. I lost time by missing a turn. »
Hänninen improves the benchmark with a time of 6'56″6, 3″1 better than Evans. The Toyota driver is 5th, a few seconds behind Breen after losing time following a twisted wheel yesterday. “We will see if it will be enough to get back into the top 4 but it will be a long day. »
Ostberg drops 1″3 from Evans and finds himself 7th behind the Dmack driver. “It was a pretty good stage but we still had some difficulties. »
Evans is the first to go under the 7min mark with a time of 6'59″7, 6 tenths better than Tänak. The M-Sport driver is battling with Ostberg for 6th place.
Neuville is closest to Tänak, finishing at 1″6. The Hyundai driver is 8th. “We will not be competitive this weekend. »
Meeke ranks 11″3 behind Tänak. The Citroën driver ranks 9th. “I still have direction problems. I wish I had a hangover. »
All the drivers wearing Michelin tires took 5 soft tires.
Tänak improves Sordo's time by 15 seconds with a time of 7'00″3 which well protects his 10th place.
Sordo improves Al Qassimi's time by almost half a minute with a time of 7'15"4. “The last km were very fast. » The Hyundai driver is in 11th place, a few tenths behind Tänak.
Al Qassimi sets a first time of 7'41″7 on this special run for the first time in this direction. The Citroën driver is moving towards 20th place.

The WRCs will start every 2 minutes. The gap will drop to one minute for WRC 2.
