Rally Kenya 2022
It is therefore over for this 14th special, the general classification remains the same.
Meet at 7:08 a.m. for the start of SS15 (Narasha 1, 13,30 km)
The general classification after SS14:
It's official: SS14 is finally canceled after this red flag! Solberg is still stuck on the road.
Ogier and Katsuta, who had started before the red flag, reached the finish at a slow pace. Evans and Rovanperä have not left yet.
Solberg is still stopped in the middle of the road, the Swede is changing the air filter. Sébastien Ogier was hampered by the immobilized Hyundai. Red flag on this 14th special.
Thierry Neuville arrives 6″2 behind Fourmaux, on a special stage which he describes as " horrible ".
Oliver Solberg is stuck in the “fech-fech” after 2 kilometers.
44 seconds behind Craig Breen on his M-Sport teammate.
Sébastien Loeb finished just behind Fourmaux, 2″1 behind his compatriot. The nine-time world champion complains about the interval reduced to 3 minutes between starts, while the dust struggles to settle after the drivers' passes.
Ott Tänak, the unfortunate of yesterday, finished SS14 59″1 behind Fourmaux.
His M-Sport teammate, Gus Greensmith, arrives 16″6 behind the Frenchman.
Adrien Fourmaux sets a first reference time on this 17,5 kilometer special: 11'42″1 for the Northerner.
And there you have it, Ott Tänak was trapped by the “fech-fech” from the first seconds! The Estonian stopped for a short moment before leaving this very difficult passage for cars. 40 seconds behind already at the first intermediate for the Hyundai driver.
Small information but very important: the interval between starts is reduced to 3 minutes this Sunday, compared to 4 since the start of the rally. And the consequences are already there: the dust did not have time to settle while Greensmith left behind Fourmaux.
An extremely sandy start to the special with what we call “fech-fech” which could trap the drivers for the first few hundred meters.
Adrien Fourmaux sets off, let's go for SS14 and for this last day of the Safari Rally!
As for Toyota, we couldn't have dreamed of better before the start of the last day of the rally...
Incredible scenes and conditions in Sleeping Warrior 2 but we get through it with a #GRYaris 1-2-3-4 to take into Sunday! 😍💪
