Elfyn Evans gave everything, sometimes being close to the limit, and set the best time of this Power Stage by a tenth ahead of Ott Tänak!

The Welshman retains his 2nd place overall and could limit the damage against Rovanperä in the championship!

Evans: “Looks like it wasn’t so bad in the end. Dani worried me a little after his first visit this morning, it's a bit of a relief to be honest. I'm sure the guy behind will arrive pretty quickly, so we'll see. »

13h

In the fight for 2nd place, Dani Sordo has just crossed the line with a time of 6’32″1, 1″4 more than Ott Tänak.

Elfyn Evans is currently on the special, will this time be enough for the Spaniard to recover 2nd place?

13h

But it was immediately beaten by Ott Tänak in 6’30″7!

The Estonian will perhaps save his weekend with 5 points from the Power Stage, he who was unable to fight for victory after receiving a heavy penalty at the start of the rally. The 2019 champion still finished in 4th place.

Tanak: “The fastest ones come behind, that’s for sure, but I still tried to do everything I could. Friday was very trying for everyone, M-Sport was really at its lowest and this day was very difficult. But we came back. »

12h

New best time for Esapekka Lappi!

The Finn finished this rally well with, for the moment, the best provisional time by 5 tenths ahead of his teammate Thierry Neuville! It will be a 5th place for the Hyundai driver overall.

Lappi: “I made a few small mistakes so it wasn’t optimal, but it was a pretty aggressive race. Amusing ! »

12h

Takamoto Katsuta, transparent this weekend a month after his podium in Finland, concludes this Acropolis Rally in 6th place and with the 3rd provisional time of the Power Stage at 6″6 from Thierry Neuville.

12h

And Sébastien Ogier fails by a tenth of Thierry Neuville! A very small gap to the advantage of the Belgian!

The Frenchman, for his part, may have some regrets: despite impeccable driving throughout the weekend, he lost everything in the last special stage on Saturday, suffering three punctures and a broken left rear suspension. He finished 10th in the Acropolis Rally.

Ogier: “I want to go home, there’s not much to say. It’s sometimes like that in rallying. We move forward and move on to the next one. »

12h

It was his last rally aboard a Rally1: Jourdan Serderidis crossed the finish line of his national rally and ended his career in the premier category.

The time is obviously anecdotal for the 59-year-old Greek – he finished 50 seconds behind Neuville – but the emotion is there for the gentleman driver from M-Sport.

12h

It’s Rally1’s turn to take to the track! Thierry Neuville sets the first reference time in 6’32″9. This is already 14 seconds faster than during the first pass!

Neuville: “I don’t think it’s good enough, but for the position on the road and the tires we have left, it’s a very good time. »

12h

Andreas Mikkelsen, WRC2 winner : “It’s special, really special. After Friday everything seemed so bleak and we decided we had nothing to lose. We drove as fast as possible through every corner throughout the rally. We changed the rear differential at the last service, it was really at the limit, but [the mechanics] are incredible. »

12h

Victory for Andreas Mikkelsen in WRC2 on this Acropolis Rally!

Third victory in the category this season for the Norwegian, who increases his championship lead in the category!

The Skoda driver set the 2nd time in the last special, 6 tenths behind Adrien Fourmaux who should take the three additional points in the Power Stage.

12h

3″2 behind for Gus Greensmith who takes the 2nd provisional time on this Power Stage… and 2nd place in WRC2 on this event. Andreas Mikkelsen is on course to seek victory.

Greensmith: “ I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. It's a shame we couldn't challenge Andreas to the end. But second place is not a bad result. »

12h

Yohan Rossel secures his place on the podium of the Acropolis Rally in WRC2, and sets the 2nd provisional time in the Power Stage, 5”2 behind Adrien Fourmaux’s time.

Rossel: “Before the rally, if you told me I would be on the podium here, I would have said OK. But when you are leading the rally and you are aiming for victory, it is different. But the work isn't bad, honestly. The car improved a lot after Portugal and Sardinia, but we will see what happens in the next events. »

12h

The Frenchman is much faster than his teammate on this Power Stage! Adrien Fourmaux clocks 6’51″6, ten seconds better than Grégoire Munster. The Northerner finished this Acropolis Rally in 4th place, a good result after his adventures on Friday.

Fourmaux: “Honestly, even today I think of all the people affected by the floods. We must commend the rally organizers for putting on this event despite the conditions. »

12h

First reference time in the WRC2 category for Grégoire Munster in 7’01″9. Adrien Fourmaux is the next to cross the finish line.

12h

Grégoire Munster who will be at the wheel of a Ford Puma Rally1 with M-Sport at the Chile Rally (September 28 – October 1), the next WRC meeting.
