Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) retired at the end of SS16 of the Rally de Catalunya while in fifth place. The Belgian, like his teammates yesterday, damaged a wheel by hitting a stone on the side of the road. If the positions remain as they are, M-Sport will clinch the Manufacturers' title with two rounds to go before the end of the season.

Kris Meeke (Citroën) signed his third scratch in a row by completing the 14,5km which will serve as the Power Stage in 8'09''5. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) failed 5''5 from the benchmark but was still ahead of his teammate Ott Tänak by two tenths.
