By once again signing the scratch in the 21,19km Likenas, SS17 of the Swedish Rally, with a time of 11'06''3, Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) once again distanced his direct rival Ott Tänak (Ford ) of more than 9s. Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) and Sébastien Ogier (Ford) follow at more than 13s, the positions seeming established beyond the first two places.
Stéphane Lefebvre (DS 3) finished 41 seconds behind the benchmark, while Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) still finished more than a minute behind, preserving his tires as much as possible for the Power Stage.
Jari-Matti Latvala has a 20s lead over Ott Tänak before taking part in the Power Stage. Sébastien Ogier completes the provisional podium, still ahead of Dani Sordo (Hyundai) and Craig Breen (Citroën). Elfyn Evans (Ford) is in 6th place but no longer has a 9s lead over Hayden Paddon. Stéphane Lefebvre (DS 3) remains 8th.
