Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) set the best time in SS22 of the Rally Finland, ahead of Esapekka Lappi by 0″4 and Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) by 0″5.

In the general classification, Ott Tänak (Toyota) remains 21″1 ahead of Lappi and 29″7 over Latvala before the Power Stage. Mikkelsen increases his lead to 2″2 over Sébastien Ogier before the final timed sector of the event.

The hierarchy moved for sixth place since Craig Breen was 2′ late before SS22 and received a 20″ penalty. Enough to “give” 6th place to his teammate at Hyundai Thierry Neuville. Breen remains 7th ahead of Teemu Suninen (M-Sport Ford).

Day ended for Kris Meeke (Toyota), restarted in Rally2 this morning, but made a mistake in this sector, with a left front wheel damaged in a rope. Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) remains a solid leader in WRC2 Pro.

No risk for Ott Tänak on this SS22, with the 4th fastest time 1″3 behind Mikkelsen. The Estonian remains 21″1 ahead of Lappi before the Power Stage.

“I don't want to make a stupid mistake and now I know where I can attack,” said Lappi. Even finishing third would be like a victory for me, so I'm quite relaxed. »

Lappi (Citroën) does not improve Mikkelsen's time, beaten by 0″4, but is ahead of Latvala by 1″3 and has an 8″6 lead over the Toyota driver before the Power Stage.

The left front wheel is indeed damaged on the Yaris.

The Briton appears to have hit something on the apex of a left-hander and believes a wheel came off the Yaris WRC. The car is stopped at the side of the track but does not obstruct passage.
