Rally Italy 2021
The start of SS4 will be given at 11:47 a.m. and will still be followed on AUTOhebdo
Another special victory for Ott Tänak who signs his 3rd scratch of the day in as many special stages contested. Overall, he relegated Kalle Rovanperä to 6 seconds. Falling back to 4th, Sébastien Ogier leaves the last place in the Top 3 to Dani Sordo while waiting for SS4, the last of the first loop
SS3 standings
General classification after SS3
Loubet also far behind Tänak. The Tricolore's time is 13'21″8, 24″4 behind the leader of the special
Greensmith far behind Tänak with a time of 13'13″8. The Englishman is relegated to 16″4 behind the Estonian in this SS3
Nobody manages to dethrone Tänak. Sordo completes his passage in 12'58″6 just 1″2 from the Estonian's mark
“It was slipping a lot and I wasn't really comfortable in this special,” explains Katsuta, who is provisionally 6th in this SS3
Katsuta finished 10″1 behind Tänak with a time of 13’07″5. Discreet start to rally for the Japanese
Too much on the attack, Rovanperä let some time slip away in the last kilometers of the special. The Finn is still content with the 2nd provisional time in 12'59″4, 2 seconds behind the leader Tänak
Without much trouble, Tänak dislodged Neuville from provisional first place. 12'57″4 for the Estonian who crossed the finish line 3″5 ahead of his teammate
The awakening of Neuville? The Hyundai driver temporarily takes the lead in SS3 with a time of 13'00″9. He was 2″7 faster than Ogier
Neuville is definitely in better shape in this SS3. The Belgian is provisionally 3″3 ahead of Ogier
Evans still fails to gain the upper hand over Ogier. 13'06″3 for the Welshman who finished 2″7 behind his teammate
“It’s never easy to open the road. I was happy with my morning time here. I am also happy with my second pass on the special but I am not sure that it is as good as the first”, specifies Ogier after his passage.
Ogier sets a time of 13'03″6. The reference to beat is established
Neuville seems better in this SS3. The Belgian is ahead of Ogier and Evans after the first sector. He relegates them to 1″6 and 3″9 respectively
Reminder of tire choices for the first loop of the day:
Another driver who must react is Neuville. The Belgian is also on the road to SS3 and is aiming for a better time than this morning
Evans started his time. The Welshman must react after two somewhat complicated first stages
It is Tänak who leads the Rally Italy after the first two special stages. The Estonian distances Rovanperä by 4 seconds and Ogier by 11 seconds
A little delayed but SS3 is definitely starting! Ogier once again opens the road
