Ott Tänak (Ford) achieved his second consecutive scratch by completing the 17,91km Dyfnant, 4th special stage of Wales Rally GB, in 10'18''9. The Dmack driver took 2”2 back from Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen) who was 4 seconds ahead of his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) follows 7”5 behind the benchmark, more than a second ahead of his teammate Hayden Paddon and Kris Meeke (Citroën). Craig Breen (Citroën) follows his teammate less than 2 seconds behind. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) finished one second behind the Irishman, ahead of Mads Ostberg (Ford) by 3 seconds. Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) finished 20 seconds behind.

Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) lost more than a minute following a broken transmission on the front wheels. The Norwegian could give up since the stage does not have mid-day assistance.

Sébastien Ogier maintains a lead of 7”7 over Ott Tänak. Jari-Matti Latvala took 3rd place, 2 tenths ahead of Kris Meeke and 4 tenths ahead of Hayden Paddon. Craig Breen remains on the outskirts of the top five ahead of Thierry Neuville, Dani Sordo and Mads Ostberg who took advantage of Andreas Mikkelsen's problems to gain a position.
