Toyota has confirmed that Grönholm will be back in Rally 2 tomorrow. The GRX boss-driver had retired after leaving the road in the last SS of the morning.

Latvala: “It was a wonderful day. The car was sensational even though the fight was getting harder and harder. I simply asked too much of the tires in the last SS. I tried to get out of the snow as quickly as possible, but realizing how stuck I was, I realized I was going to lose a lot of time. There were only 2 people there to help us, that's why it took so long. I don't know yet how much extra time I will leave tomorrow. »

Evans: “We worked a lot on the car before coming here because we weren't doing very well there. I will try to gain as many places as possible tomorrow. »

Mikkelsen: “I was hoping to be faster today, but it was still a positive day. We want to fight for victory by taking advantage of a possible mistake by those in front. »

Suninen: “It was a very nice day. I was able to avoid mistakes by adopting a good pace. The team has worked well on the car and it appears competitive. We must remember that there are still 2 very difficult days to face. I obviously have pressure having Tänak behind me who is one of the fastest in the discipline. »

Lappi: “The conditions were complicated today. Many drivers, including myself, made mistakes today. We may have more soil tomorrow, we may have to preserve the tires more. »

Meeke: “I had a bad pace this morning and lost time by stalling on a start. We were fighting by tenths for the best position on the road, but I slipped behind Loeb and Neuville. It's a mix of Monte Carlo and Wales Rally GB. I still enjoy driving the car. I'm still satisfied to still be in the race. I'm looking to be clean, I want to be on the attack, but we have to stay careful after Jari (-Matti Latvala) came out. »

Tänak: “We were prepared to lose a lot of time this afternoon. We couldn't make any mistakes to have a good position on the road tomorrow. I think I can be in the fight. It was easy to make a mistake in the last SS because there was a lot of aquaplaning. »

Neuville: “The behavior of the car was really disrupted by the damage to the car. But we couldn't fight anyway against our opponents who started 10 places behind us. We will have a fairly good position on the road tomorrow and we are preparing for the fight, especially against Loeb. »

Latvala was stuck in the snow for more than 20 minutes before he was able to get his Yaris WRC out of this misstep. The Finn is now looking to finish the special.

Latvala finally managed to leave but the time lost was considerable.

Evans also did well, setting the 4th fastest time, just over 7s behind Lappi. The M-Sport driver is around ten seconds from the provisional podium.

Good time from Mikkelsen who ranks 1″6 behind Tänak. The Hyundai driver finds himself on the provisional podium 16s behind the Estonian.

Tidemand also failed about ten seconds behind Tänak. The M-Sport driver logically takes 9th position with Latvala's problems.
