Elfyn Evans (Ford Fiesta R5) completes the top ten, remaining in the lead of WRC 2. The Welshman increased his lead over Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia R5) to more than half a minute. Yoann Bonato (DS 3 R5) is no longer worried by Kevin Abbring (Hyundai i20 R5) following the Dutchman's stop on SS7.

In JWRC, Yohan Rossel regained the advantage over Lurent Pellier who is 15 seconds behind his compatriot. Martin Koci completes the top three in the category.

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) scored the scratch on the wet road of Novella – Pietralba, 8th special of the Tour de Corse, completing the 30,8km in 19'06''1 with two seconds ahead of his teammate Dani Sordo who was however shod only with hard tires. Craig Breen (Citroën) impressed again by following six seconds behind and gaining more than nine seconds from Jari-Matti Latvala (Volkswagen). Ott Tänak (Ford) was more comfortable in the wet conditions with his Dmack tires as he finished ten seconds behind the benchmark, ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) by half a second. Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen) played it safe by dropping 13 seconds to his direct opponent. Éric Camilli (Ford) struggled more and finished 22 seconds off the scratch.

Sébastien Ogier maintains a lead of 46 seconds over Thierry Neuville at the end of the second stage of the Tour de Corse. Andreas Mikkelsen is now 21 seconds behind the Hyundai driver. Jari-Matti Latvala and Craig Breen still complete the top five.

Camilli is the slowest among the drivers who finished the 2nd stage. The M-Sport driver is 22s behind the Neuville scratch, 7 tenths behind his teammate Ostberg.

Breen shines again by setting the 3rd time, 6s behind Neuville. “I am very happy to achieve these performances for my first asphalt rally in the WRC. » The Abu Dhabi WRT driver is 23s behind Latvala who still occupies 4th place.

Tänak feels better in these soggy conditions with his Dmack tires. The Estonian set the 4th provisional time, 10 seconds behind Neuville’s provisional scratch. “It cools the gummies and they keep. I think I rode well. »

Neuville takes the provisional scratch with around ten seconds ahead of Mikkelsen after setting a time of 19’06”1. The Belgian 2nd in the general classification pushes the VW driver back to 21s. “I hit something at the start of the stage and I had vibrations afterwards. We still did well today. I had 3 hard and 1 soft for this special. “

Paddon only finished 4″9 behind Mikkelsen and 2″6 behind Ogier. The New Zealander is 6th. “We are not in a position to attack. »

Ogier adopted a cautious pace on the wet stage. All the drivers who started behind him, with the exception of Ostberg, are faster than the leader of the Tour de Corse.

Ogier and Mikkelsen have already set off on the last special of the 2nd stage.

Ogier will set off on the second passage of Novella-Pietralba from 17:02 p.m. He signed the scratch this morning in 18’26″2, but the crews should be in more difficulty with the downpour that fell on the course.
