Rally Kenya 2022
Kalle Rovanperä finished 6″3 behind the best time.
It is therefore Elfyn Evans who wins SS8. See you in a few minutes for the start of SS9, at 8:08 a.m.
The classification of SS8:
The general classification after SS8 (before WRC2):
Takamoto Katsuta finished 18″8 behind Evans and lost 2nd position overall to the Welshman.
Elfyn Evans improves the best time to 18'14″2!
11 seconds behind Ott Tänak on his teammate at Hyundai.
And Thierry Neuville beats Ogier by 5″5 with a time of 18’17″8!
New best time signed Sébastien Ogier, in 18'23″3, or 4″1 faster than Loeb.
Oliver Solberg arrives, 1'02″7 behind Loeb's time but with a puncture.
Gus Greensmith is on his side, car overturned! An accident at low speed and not serious, but the Briton is arrested. It seems that the driver took too much of the rope in a right turn and the car went off on two wheels.

The crew finally left after a 4-minute stop.
Adrien Fourmaux finally arrives, left rear suspension broken, 5 minutes late.
Fourmaux reaction: “We had a puncture and we changed the tire, then in a rocky part, it broke. We need to take a look, and hopefully we can fix it. I hope I didn't bother Craig too much. »
What a misunderstanding between the two M-Sport drivers Fourmaux and Breen. The Irishman was stuck behind the Frenchman for a long time and still lost a lot of time. He crosses the line 1'20 behind Loeb...
And Adrien Fourmaux is slowing down again… and Craig Breen is stuck behind the Frenchman.
Sébastien Loeb crossed the finish line in 18'27″4, the first reference time on this SS8.
Adrien Fourmaux set off again but lost 2 minutes in this mishap.
More bad luck for Fourmaux, victim of a puncture! The French duo is forced to stop to change tires.
Many corrections in the notes for Sébastien Loeb and Isabelle Galmiche but for the moment, the nine-time world champion is the fastest in the first intermediates.
The 3rd M-Sport Ford which retired yesterday, that of Craig Breen, took the start. The Irishman is still in the top 10 despite a 10-minute penalty.
It's time for Adrien Fourmaux who is also making his return to the rally after his mechanical problem yesterday during SS5.
And here we go for this new day of rallying in Kenya! Sébastien Loeb took off!
