Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) started the second stage of the Rally Argentina by taking the scratch in the 13,92km Tanti – Mataderos completed in 9’08”1. The leader of the event was ahead of Ott Tänak (Toyota) by 4 tenths, while Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) failed 4 seconds behind Kris Meeke (Toyota) and Elfyn Evans (M-Sport). The Frenchman preceded Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport).

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) was the slowest, more than 15 seconds behind the benchmark. The Spaniard is plagued by engine problems.

Thierry Neuville now has almost 14 seconds ahead of Ott Tänak who overtook Sébastien Ogier by 2 seconds. Kris Meeke remains 4th ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen and Elfyn Evans grouped within a few seconds. Dani Sordo remains 7th ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala and Teemu Suninen.

Neuville leads Tänak by 4 tenths and takes the scratch in the first SS of the day! The Belgian now has a 13″8 lead over Täak, who has become his closest rival.

Neuville is the fastest in the special! The rally leader is more than a second ahead of Tänak in the 2nd split.

Ogier lost 3″6 to Tänak who took 2nd place with a 2″1 lead over the Citroën driver.

Tänak takes the provisional scratch with a 1″1 lead over his teammate Meeke. The Estonian is aiming for 2nd place from Ogier.

Ogier is a few tenths behind the Toyotas of Meeke and Tänak in the first partial.

Meeke improves the benchmark with a 1″5 lead over Evans and relegates Mikkelsen to more than 4s. The Toyota driver leads the second group of the peloton, playing just off the provisional podium.

Sordo said he was suffering from engine problems on his Hyundai. He still has 3 stages left to cover before mid-stage service!

Evans improves the benchmark and takes more than 12 seconds from Sordo. The M-Sport driver looks to put pressure on Mikkelsen.

Sordo lost time towards the end of the stage. The Hyundai driver finally failed around ten seconds behind Latvala and saw Evans slip away from 6th place.

Mikkelsen further improved the pace with a second lead over his teammate Sordo in the first partial.

Suninen sets the first time in 9’19”9. The M-Sport driver is 9th and last of the WRC drivers still in the race.
