Max Verstappen is satisfied with only 5th time. The Dutchman does not seem comfortable on the track. The only Renault present in Q3, that of Daniel Ricciardo, will only start 7th this Sunday. Pierre Gasly set the 10th time.

After the first times, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) dominates this Q3 ahead of Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) and Sergio Pérez (Racing Point). Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri) is 8th ahead of Lance Stroll (Racing Point) and Alexander Albon (Red Bull) whose lap was canceled by the stewards.

End of Q1! Nicholas Latifi (Williams), George Russell (Williams), Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo), Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) and Romain Grosjean (Haas) are eliminated. This is Ferrari's worst grid position in its history at Monza.
