The second stage of the Rally Portugal contested this Saturday should start from 9:38 a.m. with six stages on the program after the cancellation of the Gaia Street Stage super specials.

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) won the super special of the Rally of Portugal by completing the 3,36km of Lousada. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) was the closest, 9 tenths behind. Ott Tänak (Toyota) and Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) followed just over a second behind. Kris Meeke (Toyota) finished just over 2 seconds behind, ahead of Elfyn Evans (M-Sport), Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Gus Greensmith (M-Sport). Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) was furthest back with 6 seconds behind.

Ott Tänak concluded the first stage with a 17”3 lead over Jari-Matti Latvala. Kris Meeke remains on the provisional podium with 1''4 ahead of Thierry Neuville, still ahead of Sébastien Ogier with less than 2 seconds ahead. Teemu Suninen keeps 6th place with a little more than 6 seconds ahead of Gus Greensmith and Esapekka Lappi.

Tänak finished with the 3rd fastest time, beating Latvala with a 2s lead. The Estonian finished the stage 17″3 ahead of the Finn.

It's a 100% Toyota duel with Latvala facing Tänak.

Neuville takes the provisional scratch with 9 tenths ahead of Ogier and thus retains his 4th place, coming back to 1″4 from Meeke.

Ogier improves his teammate Lappi's time by half a second with a 5″ lead over Suninen. The Citroën driver could recover 4th place against Neuville, but the Belgian will be assured of a better position on the road this Saturday.

Lappi improves the reference with 1″7 ahead of Evans and takes 2″3 from Greensmith. The M-Sport driver maintains 7th position for a lead of 1″6. “We lost time today with this puncture. »

Evans improves the reference with 2″9 ahead of Loeb. The M-Sport driver saw his weekend ruined by his mechanical problems in SS5. “It's never easy to continue after that, especially when you're not responsible. We will do our best tomorrow. »

Gryazin in his Skoda faces Heller in the Fiesta R5. The Russian is 2nd in WRC 2 while Heller is 8th.

Katsuta sets the first time in WRC 2, just a tenth behind Loeb, ahead of Veiby by 1″6. The Japanese is in 5th place in the category after a puncture in the stage while the Norwegian remains leader with 4 seconds ahead of Kopecky.

Kopecky won the all-Skoda duel against Guerra Jr by almost 100 seconds but the Czech dropped 4 tenths to Rovanperä, his main opponent in WRC 6 Pro.

Sordo seemed to have been taken by surprise at first. His door was still open when the light turned green!

Loeb won his duel against Sordo with a 3″1 lead, setting a benchmark time of 2’41″5.
