Magnussen takes the points for 6th place ahead of Bottasj, Saine Jr, Hülkenberg and Leclerc. Grosjean fails at the points gate in front of Vandoorne. Sirotkin completes the ranking behind Ericsson and Hartley.

Hamilton wins the French GP ahead of Verstappen and Räikkönen! He signs his third success of the season, the 3th of his career, and takes control of the Championship for 65 points ahead of Vettel in 14th behind Ricciardo.

The VSC is withdrawn but the double yellow flag remains in force in Signes.

Hamiton begins the final lap of the French GP at reduced speed with the VSC. The race should end in this state.

T52 – The marshals deploy the VSC following the problem encountered by Stroll. The Canadian is the 4th driver to retire.

T51 – Stroll is stopped at the side of the track after having a tire burst in the Virage de Cygne. The yellow flag is displayed in the area with debris on the track.

T50 – Magnussen and Bottas overtake Sainz Jr who slips to 8th place. The Spaniard finds himself in front of his teammate Hülkenberg.

T50 – 3 laps from the finish, Sainz Jr lost power on his Renault and saw Magnussen and Bottas come back into his mirrors. The Spaniard is in 6th place.

T40 – Bottas makes a 2nd stop where he loses time due to a loose jack. The Mercedes driver drops to 9th place between Vandoorne and Hülkenberg.
