After an investigation by the stewards which lasted almost 24 hours, Max Verstappen was fined €50.000 for inspecting Lewis Hamilton's rear wing under Parc Fermé after the qualifying session.

If Lewis Hamilton set the best time in qualifying, he will start from last place after being disqualified for “non-compliance” with his DRS. Max Verstappen inherits first place, ahead of Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez.
