  • It's been almost two years since Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Penske) took a pole position, but the wait is now over! The Frenchman took pole this Friday for the Diriyah 1 E-Prix (Saudi Arabia), his 16th in Formula E. His last pole position dates back to the Jakarta E-Prix in 2022!
  • The Ile-de-France resident distinguished himself by setting the best time in his group, before successively beating Norman Nato (Andretti) in the quarters, Sergio Sette Camara (ERT) in the semis and finally Mitch Evans (Jaguar) in the final. DS Penske also signs its first pole since that obtained by Stoffel Vandoorne in São Paulo last year.
  • A qualifying session where all the favorites were present, as well as… a surprise: Sergio Sette Camara (ERT), who made it all the way to the semi-final! The Brazilian will start from the second row, alongside the reigning world champion, Jake Dennis (Andretti).
  • On the French side, in addition to Jean-Éric Vergne's pole position, Norman Nato was able to enter the final stages but came up against the future pole-sitter in the quarters. The Cannes native will start from 5th place, while his former teammate Sacha Fenestraz (Nissan), eliminated during the group stage, will start 15th.

Excellent, well done JEV! In the end, we will perhaps avoid a battle between the Porsches and the Jaguar engines
