“I am thrilled to be back at Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing for the greatest race in the world, the Indy 500, declared the pilot entered in 2023 in IMSA on an Acura in GTD. Bobby (Rahal, team principal) gave me the opportunity to win races for his team in the electric Jaguar I-PACE series a few years ago and it's a bit like coming home to come back with the team, especially since I am also very proud to come back with Honda Performance Development (H.P.D.) in IMSA, and now in IndyCar.
Racing the Indy 500 with a previously winning team (2012 and 2020) and with Honda is an incredible opportunity, which I am very grateful for and intend to make the most of. I hope I can learn from my teammates (Graham Rahal, Christian Lundgaard and Jack Harvey. Editor’s note) and team members, and that I will be able to make a smooth transition back to open wheel racing in May. I can't wait to get to work! »
