The 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023 is getting closer… and revealing itself a little more! For the Centenary edition, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest is pulling out all the stops. After lifting the veil on the majestic Centenary trophy, which rises to a height of almost one meter and fifty, the ACO has revealed the poster which will represent the 2023 edition of the most famous endurance race in the world.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Sarthe event, the ACO relied on a historical reference to create its Centenary poster. “This poster was designed around a leitmotif: 'Who will be the winner of this spectacular edition?' The six major manufacturers involved in Hypercar face us in an almost mysterious context, as if in a final battle. The celebration and exceptional nature of the event are at the heart of this visual, which highlights the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new page. A touch of the past appears on the right of the image, a nod to the first poster in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 100 years ago: an owl perched on a large majestic tree, symbolizing the difficult nighttime period that the teams go through. »

Indeed, the six manufacturers present at Le Mans in 2023 (from left to right: Glickenhaus, Ferrari, Toyota, Peugeot , Porsche and Cadillac) are represented under a dark dress, to distinguish only their silhouettes and the headlights. In the background: a fireworks display for the Centenary celebration as well as the tree and the owl reminiscent of the original poster from 1923.
