The driver of the #50 AF Corse Ferrari finished almost half a second ahead of his closest pursuer, Robert Shwartzman in the #83 Ferrari. Alessandro Pier Guidi completed dream qualifications for the Team with third place. Fuoco wanted to pay tribute not only to his team but also to the Tifosi, always present behind the red cars, especially at Imola.

After good first laps, whether in Q1 or during the Hyperpole phase, Fuoco managed to improve further, to sign an unbeatable 1:29.466. The Italian still remains cautious before this Sunday's race, noting the good pace of certain opponents. THE Porsche Penske Motorsport, which placed its two cars in fourth and fifth positions, will be a strong contender.

Antonio Fuoco (Ferrari AF Corse n°50), pole sitter at the 6 Hours of Imola: “The sensations were good this morning in FP3, so I just tried to keep my concentration as much as possible. I think the car was very good today and I managed to put in a very good lap. It was a really special lap, in front of all the Tifosi, they gave me that little extra boost to attack 100% from the start to the end of the session.

I can't say at the moment where I made the difference, but the feeling was good in the car, I felt it was a good lap, already the first, but then I was able to improve some details on my second quick lap and finding those few tenths.

We saw in free practice that the traffic will be quite difficult to manage. It will be a long race, you will have to stay calm from the start. We start in a good position with our three cars at the front, so we will have to manage that well. Our opponents look pretty fast in race pace so it won't be that easy. We'll do our best and see what happens in the end! »
