Ricky Taylor took another pole at Laguna Seca which hosts the penultimate round of IMSA at the wheel of the Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac DPi.

IMSA – Wayne Taylor on pole at Laguna Seca

Ricky Taylor gave Wayne Taylor Racing its sixth pole of the season in IMSA by winning qualifying for the America's Tire 250 at Laguna Seca (California) where the penultimate round of the season takes place. The driver of the No. 10 Cadillac DPi achieved a time of 1'16''853, beating the No. 5 Mustang Sapling Racing driven by Christian Fittipaldi by more than eight tenths.

 

 

Marc Goossens lifted the first LMP2 to third place with the No. 2 Ligier JS P90 of Visitflorida Racing which failed a few thousandths from the first row while preceding the Whelen Engineering Cadillac of Dane Cameron. ESM's two Nissan DPi finished just outside the top five.

Risi Competizione took pole in GTLM with a time of 1'21''914 achieved by Toni Vilander on the Ferrari 488 GTE. Dirk Müller was the closest in the #66 Ford GT which was two tenths behind, ahead of the two BMW M6s from Team RLL. Patrick Pilet placed the first Porsche 911 RSR in sixth place. Madison Snow took the GTD pole in the Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini Huracan.
