Change continues for the Team Ferrari. After the successive departures of Team Principal Stefano Domenicali then his replacement Marco Mattiacci, president Luca di Montezemolo, and even Fernando Alonso, it is among the technical managers that we must look for new starters. Pat Fry, Director of Engineering and Nikolas Tombazis, Chief Designer, were landed by the Italian team. This move follows the departure this summer of Luca Marmorini, one of the fathers of the Italian V6 turbo/hybrid.
Fry joined the Scuderia in 2010, after spending time with Benetton and McLaren. Tombazis had started in F1 in 1992 at Benetton, before joining Ferrari, then moving to McLaren for two seasons in 2004 and 2005, before returning to Maranello.
James Allison retains his position as Technical Director and will take care of track engineering activities on an interim basis. It is Simone subtraction who takes the position of design manager, who until then supported Tombazis.
