The Belgian Grand Prix allowed Pierre Gasly to defeat the Indian sign. Unlucky or sometimes simply not performing well, the Norman found his smile in the Ardennes and especially the points. However, the road to the Top 10 was not a long, quiet river for the driver Alpha Tauri, forced to start from the pits due to an electronic problem during the grid.

Finally, Pierre Gasly took my patience and managed to move up through the peloton to 9e position to score 2 points ending a series of 5 Grands Prix outside the Top 10.

« Scoring points is good for team morale, underlines the Habs. But to achieve this I had to work hard after a last minute problem which forced me to take my 100e Grand Prix start from the pit lane. So, getting back into the points was an incredible feeling.."

Gasly, finally leaving the negative spiral

All smiles after his great comeback in the Toboggan des Ardennes, Pierre Gasly hopes to use this great performance to launch a good dynamic. To achieve this, he hopes to be able to count on his AT03, the maximum level of performance of which he believes has not yet been reached.

« There is still some performance to get out of our car and of course we will work on that from Friday hoping to have trouble-free sessions., he emphasizes ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort this weekend. Apart from Baku last year (where he makes the podium), Zandvoort was my best weekend, qualifying 4e and finishing 4e of the race, in front of the two Ferrari.

It was a great Grand Prix on a track which is very complicated, so I was really happy with the result. I like this circuit, it is difficult to drive and it presents many challenges. It's a bit old-fashioned with the banked turns and it's a place where you have no room for error – not quite like Monaco but in the same style. There are no asphalt runoffs and if you make a mistake you end up straight into the gravel or into the wall, while the turns are atypical. » Beware of a small mistake that could have big consequences.
