Sergio Pérez looked back on his 2013 season played at McLaren at the end of which he was thanked by the Woking team before leaving for Force India. The Mexican had been replaced by Kevin Magnussen who will not have defended the colors of the British team any longer, the Dane having had to give up his place to Fernando Alonso.
“There was a lot of tension between Martin (Whitmarsh, former Team Principal) and Ron Dennis (McLaren director F1). It was very political. Martin was criticizing the engineers and the engineers were criticizing Ron”, commented Sergio Pérez at Telegraph Sport. “We got to see that with Kevin. He arrived and they ruined his career. It's not like McLaren did it intentionally, it's just political. »
Kevin Magnussen has left McLaren and is preparing to test the Porsche 919 Hybrid this month at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
