The starting grid for the Mexico Grand Prix looks like last season. Both Red Bull and both Mercedes monopolize the first two lines, with a Max Verstappen in pole position in front of the two Silver Arrows, George Russell in front Lewis Hamilton. Sergio Pérez will start 4th at home, ahead of first Ferrari de Carlos Sainz. The Italian single-seaters, accustomed to the top 4 on Saturday, are absent in Mexico, since Charles Leclerc will only start 7th, behind… Valtteri Bottas ! The Finn has released his qualification of the year and will start from the 3rd row with his Alfa Romeo.

Behind, the struggle between Alpine and McLaren keep on going. We find the four cars between 8th and 11th position, with a Lando Norris in front of both Alpine de Fernando Alonso et Esteban Ocon. Daniel Ricciardo will start just behind the two French single-seaters. Both Alpha Tauri will occupy the 7th line, with Yuki tsunoda 13th and Pierre Gasly 14e.

At the back of the grid, we will find two penalized drivers: Kevin Magnussen took a 5 place penalty for an engine change after Free Practice 1. Lance stroll will start last after receiving a 3-place penalty during his accident with Fernando Alonso in Austin. 

The start of the Mexico Grand Prix will be given at 21 p.m. (French time) and will be followed in live text, on AUTOhebdo.
