Aston Martin with its WEC drivers

Aston Martin Racing has requisitioned its six drivers entered in the GTE Pro category of WEC for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring contested on the weekend of May 13.

The British manufacturer will be represented by two official cars: a Vantage GT3 registered in SP9 and a GT4 version which will have the mission of maintaining victory in the category.

Darren Turner and Nicki Thiim, winners of the SP8 category last year, will work with Maxime Martin and Marco Sorensen on the Vantage GT3. Alex Lynn and Jonny Adam will be entered in the GT4 with Peter Cate and Jamie Chadwick, former British GT GT4 class champion.

“The 24 Hours of Nürburgring is a unique event as an endurance test and this represents an important goal for us, confirms Paul Howart, Team Principal. It is a very difficult race for both the drivers and the team and is perfect training to test the performance and reliability of our car. We will field a strong crew that has considerable experience at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring with a renowned car. »
