Already winner 4 times (2012, 2014, 2016 and 2019) and well placed in the list of favorites at the start of the event, Jean Charles Beaubelique has quite logically added his name once again to the list of winners of this rally from the Pays de St Yrieix.
The race actually changed just after the start when defending champion Nicolas Hernandez made a mistake in SS1. KO standing, the Poitevin had to throw in the towel. His great rival in 2022, Eddie Lemaître, did not do much better by completing this same 1st special on 3 wheels following a slow puncture. 1 minute lost and a boulevard which opened in front of Beaubelique which did not ask for so much. The driver just had to bring his Volkswagen Polo to the finish to reap the laurels, which he did brilliantly by winning 10 of the 11 stages on the program!
