Bouffier: “I can’t worry”

In the French championship of Rally, only the six best results, out of eight contested events, are retained. As things currently stand, Bryan Bouffier therefore has an advantage over Cédric Robert, since he has five fewer points to subtract than his rival.

This weekend the Rallye du Var, which closes the season as usual, should not allow the driver Peugeot to fight for victory with his 207 S2000 “Evolution” from Peugeot France. The title will therefore be its sole objective. But the young Frenchman intends to add style, by finishing first in his category.

“It’s exciting to play for the title in the last event, rejoices the one who will celebrate his 32nd birthday on December 1st. And I don't bother with the different counts and possible results; I will do my race trying to be the best in Super 2000 and I will be the helpless spectator of the fight between the WRC of Cédric, Brice Tirabassi, Dany Snobeck, Pierre Roché or even the Porsche by Gilles Nantet and Romain Dumas. Indeed, unlike the Critérium des Cévennes which is an atypical rally where I was faster than the WRC with my 207 S2000, I would be surprised if this was the case in Var where the route is much faster. »

In addition to Bryan Bouffier, Peugeot will also be able to count on Stéphane Sarrazin to fly the colors of the Lion firm.
